The fundamental and unique mission of the

Northeastern Maine Emergency Medical Services

Council is to develop and continually improve upon

a system of medical care which strives to prevent

or minimize the impact of illness or injury to the

individuals within the region. In cooperation with

the rest of the State, and fully integrated with

other agencies, we will nurture all aspects of a

comprehensive system of cost-effective and high-

quality prehospital emergency medical care with

particular concern for both patients and our EMS

providers.
